Per me l’abitare è un confine. È un confine, un balcone, come potrebbe essere l’arteria che si ramifica nei capillari. E questo balcone è l’affaccio, lo slancio, la metafora dello sporgersi.
Se mi affaccio alla finestra del mio studio guardo dentro il corpo del Collegio Venturoli, che ha un suo bacino, un suo ventre... il chiostro. È sempre un continuo richiamo al sentirlo come una piccola città, che si chiude. È molto segreta. È molto intima. E l’intimità e la dimensione introspettiva sono una caratteristica fondamentale del mio lavoro, probabilmente perché questo bacino mi ha portato a una dimensione di “scavo”. E io mi ci sono identificata.

To me inhabiting is a border. It is a border, a balcony, as it could be the artery that branches out into the capillaries. And this balcony is the view, the leap, the metaphor of sticking yourself out.
If I look outside the window of my studio, I look at the insides of the Collegio Venturoli, that has its own basin, its own womb... the cloister. It is a constant callback to the feeling of a small city, that closes in on itself. It is very secret. It is very intimate. And intimacy and the introspective dimension are a core characteristic of my work, probably because this basin brought me into an “excavation” mood. And I identified myself with it.
